Charlotte Harbor & the Gulf Islands

Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf Islands is situated among Florida's Southwest Gulf Coast, between Sarasota and Naples.

 
The area covers diverse landscape including cities, towns and four barrier islands, but if you are looking for a small town feel with all the Florida amenities, Englewood, Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda are ideal.
 
 
Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf Islands are anywhere from 5 to 25 feet above see level and have a climate characterized as sub-tropic. The mild winter season last from January to March.
There are numerous upland and aquatic preserves to explore in the area and Charlotte Harbor includes one of the world's largest protected marine estuaries encompassing 270 miles, with 219 miles of natural shoreline.
